करना है जीवन सफ़ल तो ये सचाई जान ले,
If you want to make your life successful then know this truth,
जो हमेशा से था कायम, वो सदा रह जायेगा
What was always there, will remain forever
सब मिटेगा जग में बाक़ी, बस खुदा रह जायेगा
Everything else in this world will vanish, only God will remain
ख़ाक होगा जिस्म उस दिन, ये तमाशा देखना
That day the body will turn into dust, just watch this spectacle
इस जमीं का इस जमीं पर, सब धरा रह जायेगा
Everything of this land will remain on this land
रूह के तन्हा सफ़र पर, घर-मकां जाता नहीं
On the lonely journey of the soul, house-mansion does not go home
बस फ़क़त हसरत का जंगल, ही हरा रह जायेगा
Only the forest of desire will remain green
लुत्फ़ जिसने रूह के गुलशन का, जाना ही नहीं
He who has never experienced the pleasures of the garden of the soul
उसका जीवन उम्र भर की, इक सजा रह जायेगा
His life will be a lifelong punishment
कर नहीं सकतीं हिफाज़त, ये जहाँ की दौलतें
wealth of this world cannot protect you
आसरा ले रब का बस, ये आसरा रह जायेगा
Just take shelter in God, this support will remain
रिश्ते-नाते, घर-मकां, जो पकड़े हैं, पकड़े रहें
Relationships, homes, whatever they have, et them hold on to them
उनका आना-जाना, दुनिया में लगा रह जायेगा
For them the coming and going will continue in the world
रौशनी ही रौशनी का, जश्न होगा हर घड़ी
There will be light and light, there will be celebration every moment
पर्दा-ए-दिल खुल गया तो, फिर खुला रह जायेगा
If the curtain of the heart opens, it will remain open forever
सदगुरु की नाव में, आ बैठ, दरिया पार कर
Come and sit in Sadguru’s (The True Spiritual Master) boat and cross the river
वरना तूफ़ां में किनारे, पर खड़ा रह जायेगा
Otherwise, you will be left standing on the shore in a storm
तू धरा पे कुछ न लाया, ना धरा से ले जाएगा
You did not bring anything to this earth, nor will you take anything from this earth
इस धरा का इस धरा पर, सब धरा रह जायेगा
Everything of this earth will remain on this earth
इस धरा पर इस धरा का सब धरा रह जाएगा
Everything of this earth will remain on this earth
जी सके तो आज जी ले पीछे फिर पछतायेगा
If you can live then live today otherwise you will regret later.
इस धरा पर देखो कितने फूल हैं और कांटे भी
Look how many flowers and thorns there are on this earth
दृष्टि विधायक है यदि तो फूल को चुन पायेगा
If your vision is positive then you will be able to pick the flower
गगन मंडल में सदा ही, बज रही इक बांसुरी
A flute is always playing in the sky
हो कृपा जिस पर गुरु की, बस वही सुन पायेगा
Only he who has the blessings of the Guru will be able to hear it
जीत कर सारी धरा को एक दिन रोया सिकंदर
After conquering the whole world, Alexander cried one day
जाना जब अंतिम घड़ी में, साथ ना कुछ जाएगा
When you go in your last moment, nothing will go with you
अहंकार को साधने में कुछ भी सध पाया नहीं
Nothing was achieved in satisfying the ego
इस हवस की दौड़ में, क्या आदमी बन पायेगा?
In this race of greed, will a man be able to become a man?
उत्सव मनाती तितलियाँ हैं झूमती फूलों के सँग
Butterflies are celebrating, dancing with the flowers
रास यह महारास का ही रूप एक कहलायेगा।

दुनिया की कोई भी वस्तु साथ जा सकती नहीं
Nothing in the world can go with you
इस जहाँ से उस जहाँ को, हाथ खाली जाएगा
From this world to that world, the hands will go empty handed

ढूंढ प्यारे मुर्शिद (गुरु) का दर और दामन थाम ले
Find the door of your beloved Master (Guru) and hold His Hand
एक वही दिखला सकेगा अंधियारे में रोशनी
Only He can show the light in the darkness
एक वही सुनवा सकेगा मौन में प्यारी ध्वनि
Only He can make us hear the sweet sound in silence
राह दिखा के शिष्य को मंजिल पे पहुंचाएगा
By showing the path, He will take the disciple to his destination
धरा पर वर्ना धरा का सब धरा रह जाएगा।
Otherwise everything on earth will remain on earth.
